Researchers Catarina Neves and Roberto Merrill, with the sponsorship of the Greens/European Alliance and Francisco Guerreiro (MEP), produced a report aimed at clarifying some of the main concepts of an Unconditional Basic Income (UBI) and introducing potential funding models for its implementation in Portugal.

Lucas Barros Gonçalves, aluno de licenciatura em Filosofia, venceu o Prémio UMinho de Iniciação na Investigação Científica 2023 com o projeto intitulado "A teoria moral da concepção de “universalidade” do RBI” e desenvolvido com investigadores do CEPS.
Esta iniciativa anual, promovida pela Reitoria em articulação com os centros de investigação, envolve os estudantes de licenciatura em contextos reais de investigação, tendo a supervisão de cientistas reconhecidos. O prémio inclui um certificado e um valor pecuniário de 500 euros.

12th Uminho Philosophy Students' Conference
The Environmental Crisis: Approaches and Possible Solutions
Universidade do Minho, 23-24 de Abril de 2024
This event is organised by the Department of Philosophy and the Philosophy Students' Association of the University of Minho, with support from the Centre for Ethics, Politics and Society (CEPS) at the University of Minho. It is traditionally envisaged as an opportunity for scholars to present and discuss their work and allow undergraduate and graduate Philosophy students to broaden and deepen their education.
This year's edition is titled "The Environmental Crisis: Approaches and Possible Solutions". It will take place in the 23rd and 24th of April, with keynote talks by Guy Standing (SOAS, University of London), Chris Armstrong (University of Southampton), Bernhard Sylla (Philosophy Department at the University of Minho and CEPS), and Nicola Piras (CEPS, University of Minho).

The 14th Summer School on the Ethics of War will explore contemporary issues in the ethics of war against the backdrop of ongoing conflicts in Syria, Yemen, Ethiopia, Ukraine, and Gaza. The event aims to foster open discussions among scholars, students, policymakers, and enthusiasts.
