2 Research Grants for Post-Doctoral Fellows | ArgLab - IFILNOVA

The Argumentation Lab of the NOVA Institute of Philosophy, NOVA University Lisbon, Portugal, is seeking to recruit two Post-Doctoral Fellows in the scope of the Project MultiPoD – Multilingual and Multicultural Spaces for Political Deliberation, funded by the European Commission under the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme. Deadline for applications: 31 January 2026.

Preference will be given to applications that fulfil the following requirements:

• fluency in English (and, preferably, Portuguese or Spanish);
• research experience in Argumentation Theory, Philosophy of Language, Social Epistemology or Political Philosophy;
• experience working on funded research projects;
• ability to work in an interdisciplinary and multilingual research team environment.

The grant is expected to start in April 2026.

The scholarship amount is 1851,00€ per month according to the table of scholarship values directly attributed by the national science foundation, FCT, I.P. This value is increased by the voluntary social insurance corresponding to the first level, in case the candidate opts for its attribution, as well as the personal accident insurance.
