Dear Lekton Community,
On 25–26 June 2026, the International Conference Making Kin as a Practice of Care: Habitable Bodies or Unexpected Alliances between Ecology, Technology, and Feminism will take place at the University of Beira Interior (Covilhã, Portugal). The conference is organized within the framework of PRAXIS – Center for Philosophy, Politics and Culture. The conference aims to promote interdisciplinary dialogue on the possible relations, intersections, and articulations between ecology, technology, and feminism, through Donna Haraway’s concept of “making kin,” spanning from Classical Antiquity to the Digital Age that characterizes our contemporary moment.
Researchers are warmly invited to submit paper proposals in English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, or Italian by 7 April to the following email address: maki...@outlook.pt. Proposals should include an abstract (up to 300 words) and a short biographical note (up to 150 words). Notification of acceptance will be sent on 7 May 2026.
Please find attached the detailed Call for Papers.
