Naval Postgraduate School: Open position for GSEAS Dean

The Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) seeks to fill the position of Dean of the Graduate School of Engineering and Applied Science (GSEAS). This is a federal government position in the excepted service. The expected length of the appointment is three years. Deans may be reappointed for subsequent, three-year terms. Located on the scenic Monterey Peninsula, NPS is a graduate and research-intensive university offering master’s and doctoral degrees in the applied sciences, engineering, operational and information sciences, defense management, and international and security studies. Students include military officers from all U.S. armed services, civilian employees of the Departments of the Navy and Defense (DoN/DoD), and military officers from about 40 nations. NPS faculty have made fundamental contributions to national security through basic and applied research in traditional academic disciplines and in nontraditional and interdisciplinary areas uniquely designed to serve the defense and national security of the U.S. and its allies. NPS is a trusted source of expert advice to the DoN/DoD and other parts of the federal government.
