Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the 10th edition of "Observing and Modelling ocean waves" Summer School with WAVEWATCH-III (r) !

During this training course you will learn how to use the spectral wave model WAVEWATCH-III (r) which contains contributions from NOAA, UKMET, USACE, IFREMER and many people across the world. This modeling framework now allows a wide range of applications from the global ocean to the beach scale (resolutions under 100 m) thanks to a wider range of choices for numerical schemes and parameterizations of physical processes.

The summer school will be held at the University of Brest, France  from April 3rd to 7th, 2023.
This training course is dedicated to better understand wave modelling with a particular focus on how to set up your own WW3 wave model implementation with a full day dedicated to your project.

So if you are interested, information and registration are now available at

And feel free to contact us for more details( mickael...@ifremer.fr  and ard...@ifremer.fr )

Looking forward to meet you,
Mickael Accensi and Fabrice Ardhuin
