Dear Colleagues,

I would like to draw your attention to the below opportunity to apply to be the next Branch Chief of the Coastal and Hydraulics’ Laboratory’s Coastal Observation and Analysis Branch (COAB), located at the Field Research Facility, in Duck, NC.

The FRF is a coastal observatory, with a long-history of supporting research within our community by providing open-access, continuous observations of coastal processes and morphological response, and by providing surf-zone operational expertise and experiment support for visiting researchers. In addition to these responsibilities, COAB scientists and engineers also conduct cutting-edge research supporting the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center’s (ERDC) civil and military business lines.

This position will fill a vacancy left by Dr. Jeffrey Waters, COAB’s current Branch Chief, who is retiring this spring. As Chief of COAB, you will have the opportunity to manage and mentor an engaging group of research and operations staff, fostering collaborative coastal science and engineering advancements. Branch Chief responsibilities are described in full in the below job description. The position closes 16 February 2022.

Thanks,

-Kate
