Title: Machine Learning & Monitoring for Fatigue Life Estimation of Floating Solar Farms

This PhD is a fully funded collaborative research project through the European Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network. The project is led by Dr Madjid Karimirad from Queen’s University Belfast (UK) and co-supervised by Dr Vikram Pakrashi from University College Dublin (Ireland). We are looking for an excellent PhD candidate with a background in both numerical and experimental hydrodynamic assessment and analysis of offshore and marine structures.

Anticipated start date: Friday 1 November 2026

This studentship is open to international candidates. The value of an award includes the cost of approved fees as well as maintenance support (stipend).
