IHCantabria have an opening PhD position to join the MSCA Doctoral Network SEDIMARE, linked to the Coastal Risk, Adaptation and Resilience group. The successful candidate will be enrolled for a fee-free PhD at the IHCantabria PhD program of the Universidad de Cantabria, researching sediment transport in coastal urban areas, dealing with CFD and experimental modeling, under the supervision of Prof. Javier Lara and Prof. María Maza. The position includes a 3-month secondment at UNIVERSITA POLITECNICA DELLE MARCHE and one 2-month secondment at DELTARES, covered by the SEDIMARE project.
Salary: 44.450,40 €/year (12 monthly payments per year) of gross salary plus optional 5.940 € family and/or children's allowance. (in accordance with the EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie-Actions financial guidelines for this scheme).
Requirements: English B2-Accreditation by means of a certificate form an entity of recognized prestige that allows equivalence with CEFR levels. It will be necessary to be in possession of the official degrees of Bachelor´s Degree or equivalent and Master´s Degree or equivalent, provided that at least 300 ECTS credits have been passed in the set of these two teachings with at least 60 ECTS of postgraduate studies. The selected person must be admitted to unofficial doctoral program prior to the formalization of the contract. At the time of appointment, have less than four years full-time equivalent research experience and must not have already obtained a PhD; Have not resided in Spain (recruiting host country) for more than 12 months in the three years immediately before the appointment; Meet the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Early-Stage Researcher eligibility criteria.
