Dear colleagues,

TU Braunschweig recruits two PhD candidates or postdocs (depending on qualification) for a period of 36 month, in the field of civil/structural/coastal engineering. We’d really appreciate if you could notify suitable candidates about the vacancies.

The successful candidates will work in the European Research Council project “AngryWaters” which seeks to deepen our understanding on how residential structures collapse in extreme flow conditions, such as tsunami or flash floods.

In the project, mid- and large-scale experiments are developed and performed, using dam break waves to represent extreme flow conditions; supplementary numerical modelling aims to enhance prognosis of those processes.

Research is conducted at TU Braunschweig, Braunschweig, Germany and also using the large-scale facilities at the Coastal Research Center, Hannover, Germany (joint facility of TU Braunschweig and Leibniz University Hannover).
