Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to submit a manuscript to the Special Issue “Coastal Conservation: Science for Sustainable Shores” in the Journal of Marine Science and Engineering (JMSE; ISSN 2077-1312; Impact Factor: 2.8; CiteScore: 5.0).

This Special Issue aims to provide a forum for innovative research and timely reviews that advance coastal conservation and sustainability through robust empirical evidence and the integration of multi-scale approaches. We particularly welcome contributions addressing the full coastal management cycle, including:

• Monitoring and diagnosis of key coastal variables (waves, hydrodynamics, shoreline evolution, water quality)  
• Risk assessment, early warning, and decision-support tools  
• Planning, implementation, and evaluation of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and hybrid interventions
