Special Issue: Coastal dunes: links between aeolian processes and landform dynamics

The aim of this Special Issue is to highlight diverse and novel approaches by coastal researchers and extend the frontiers of knowledge by soliciting quality contributions from academics and coastal practitioners. We invite papers dealing with combinations of several of the following topics:
- Aeolian sand transport
- Aeolian bedforms
- Storm response-recovery cycles of coastal foredunes
- Coastal dune blowouts: genesis and evolution
- Hydrogeological processes and dune response to climate flucuations
- Remote sensing technology to monitor coastal dune geomorphology
- Long-term dune response to climate and sea level controls
- Dune dynamics
The deadlines are:
- 16.06.2021: Deadline for submission of abstracts
- 16.07.2021: Deadline for Guest Editors to reply to author abstracts and invite submissions of full manuscripts
- 16.12.2021: Deadline for submission of manuscripts
We would greatly value your contribution and hope you will be able to respond to our invitation by submitting a one page abstract to eugene....@nuigalway.ie. Please also including the title and list of authors.
