Sign Up for the Sustainable Tourism Workshop Oct. 10 Blue Flag USA has partnered with the Galveston Island Park Board of Trustees to offer a workshop for community managers on successful engagement with destination management organizations responsible for marketing beaches with a focus on sustainable beach tourism. This workshop will help participants identify ways to engage with tourism partners to help support environmental management and unique marketing for coastal communities.  Join Kimberly Danesi, Interim Chief Executive Officer at the Galveston Island Park Board of Trustees, Elizabeth Schneider, Environmental Coordinator at the Galveston Island Park Board of Trustees, and Nancy MacPhee, Lee County Visitor and Convention Bureau, to hear about the sustainable tourism market, identify current management operations being used to support sustainable tourism marketing, examples of successful projects and partnerships, and lessons learned.  Sign up here for the workshop on October 10 from 9-12 pm.
