We invite you to submit an abstract to our session, “Marine Energy Technologies & Resource Characterization” organized for this December's AGU26 Annual Meeting in San Francisco, CA from 7-11 December.
Link for submitting abstracts: https://agu.confex.com/agu/agu26/prelim.cgi/Session/280226
The deadline for all submissions is Wednesday, 05 August 2026 at 23:59 EDT/03:59 UTC. Abstracts, including invited abstracts, will not be accepted for review after this date.
Session ID: 280226
Session Title: GC081: Marine Energy Technologies & Resource Characterization
Section: Global Environmental Change
GC081. Marine energy technologies generate power from ocean waves, tides, currents, and salinity, thermal, and pressure gradients. These technologies can power a wide range of industries, like desalination, aquaculture, and ocean observation. This session invites presentations on resource characterization, marine energy conversion technologies, integration into different end uses, environmental effects of marine energy extraction, environmental monitoring, and technology performance evaluation. Multi-disciplinary approaches are welcomed and encouraged. International and early career researchers are encouraged to submit.
Sincerely,
Technical Session Conveners:
Vincent Neary, Sandia National Laboratories
Kevin Haas, Georgia Tech, School of Civil and Environmental Engineering
Heather Spence, US Department of Energy
Jiyong Lee, Oak Ridge National Laboratory
