The Coastal Research Group in the School of the Environment at the University of Windsor (Canada) invites expressions of interest from future PhD students with an interest in coastal geomorphology and the application of advanced geospatial techniques. Funding has been secured to characterize the inter- and intra-site variability of coastal barriers and develop a data model to compare scale-dependent landscapes.
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD student with a background in the geosciences and/or applied mathematics with experience in the application of advanced geospatial analyses. The project will focus on coastal barriers in Prince Edward Island and the Gulf of Mexico and will include a combination of geospatial modelling and fieldwork.
This is a 4-year fully funded position beginning in September 2023 in the School of the Environment at the University of Windsor.
