Natural Systems Design and Coastal Geologic Services (NSD + CGS) is seeking a full-time Project (or Senior) level Coastal Engineer. Our Project level engineers typically have 5 to 10 years of experience (Senior level engineers typically have 10 or more years experience). The successful candidate will have strong proficiency in engineering analysis and design focused on beaches, nearshore ecosystems, beaches, estuaries, and developed waterfronts. The position will be based in Seattle, Bellingham, or Port Angeles, Washington, which can be a hybrid/remote model in the region.

Responsibilities:

Design and analysis of engineering approaches to restoration and enhancement of natural coastal and estuarine ecosystems using nature-based approaches.
Sea level rise and climate change vulnerability analysis and adaptation design.
Strong proficiency in coastal design, including coastal structures, beach nourishment, inlet processes, etc.
Perform site condition assessment, alternative analysis, and feasibility studies...
