Announcing the COAWST Applications Catalog

Dear Coastal List:

Around the world, scientists are using the Coupled Ocean-Atmosphere-Waves-Sediment Transport (COAWST) Modeling System to better understand and forecast changes in coastal conditions. To showcase the breadth of this work, the USGS developed the COAWST Applications Catalog—a curated collection of published COAWST-based studies spanning multiple countries, coastlines, and scientific questions:

Each entry was identified through peer‑reviewed journal databases. The map at the center of the catalog features geographic coverage boxes that illustrate the study area used in each application. You can click directly on the map, or use the searchable table, to see the application information and links to the published article or web site. Scientists who publish COAWST-based research are encouraged to submit their work for inclusion to John Warner (jcwa...@usgs.gov).
