Dear coastal list members,

We have a fully-funded PhD position available within hydro-morphodynamical modeling at NTNU Trondheim as part of the ERC Consolidator grant PARTRES “Particle Resolving Fluid-Sediment Interaction” (https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/101045646).

The ERC consolidator grant PARTRES will develop methods and models for particle-resolving fluid-sediment interaction. As a PhD candidate in hydro-morphodynamical modelling, you will work within the open-source hydrodynamics framework REEF3D (www.reef3d.com). You will investigate the long-shore and cross-shore sediment transport and morphological changes that contribute to soil instability and coastal protection failures. Your research will provide a holistic assessment, identify hotspots and extreme events and offer valuable insights and connections to the particle-resolved framework developed under the project. More information about the position can be found here: https://www.jobbnorge.no/en/available-jobs/job/266684/phd-position-within-hydro-morphodynamical-modelling

Please don’t hesitate to take contact for further information  hans...@ntnu.no

Best Regards

Hans
