The Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQAR) is part of the Université du Québec network, the largest university network in Canada, with over 100,000 students.

Coastal erosion and flooding are significant challenges in Quebec, the largest province of Canada. To address these issues, UQAR and the Ministère des Transports of the Quebec government have joined forces to create a research center in coastal engineering dedicated to the design, construction, and maintenance of coastal infrastructure. This research group also collaborates with the Laboratory of Dynamics and Integrated Management of Coastal Zones, one of the leading research laboratories in Canada.

We are seeking motivated PhD candidates to join our dynamic team. Scholarships will be provided to successful applicants. A background in numerical simulation is an asset.
