Probabilistic Design of Coastal Structures Course - ProCoast 25

Dear All,

I would like to inform you about the upcoming Course on Probabilistic Design of Coastal Structures – ProCoast25,

organised by the Hydraulics, Water Resources and Environment Group (NHRHA) of the Institute for Sustainable

Construction (ICS) of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), Portugal.

ProCoast25 is a 4-day intensive course designed to provide participants with a strong knowledge in the probabilistic

design of coastal structures, specifically focusing on breakwaters. Throughout the course, valuable information and

practical exercises on how to design and optimize these structures using probabilistic models will be given, covering

the following topics:

      1. Introduction to Probabilistic design;
      2. Verification Methods;
      3. Statistical Modelling of Environmental Conditions;
      4. Probabilistic design of coastal structures.
