Are you interested in learning how to deploy a Distributed Fiber-optic Sensing instrument such as a DAS or DTS?
The Center for Transformative Environmental Monitoring Programs (CTEMPs) invites graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, faculty, and professionals to participate in a five-day immersive, hands-on workshop focused on Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS)
and Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) for environmental monitoring from August 10–14, 2026. The Reno–Tahoe region provides a unique natural laboratory for environmental sensing applications.
