Dear colleagues

The UWA Coastal and Offshore Research Laboratory (CORLab) at the The University of Western Australia located in Perth, is advertising for two Technician positions to support its expanding research activities. UWA has an international reputation for its innovative fundamental and applied research related to the coastal and offshore ocean (highly ranked in both Ocean Engineering and Oceanography subject areas) with strong industry and government engagement.

The UWA Coastal and Offshore Research Laboratory (CORLab) carries out world-class fundamental and applied research in the areas of hydrodynamics, fluid-structure interactions and sediment transport processes applicable to offshore and coastal engineering systems. CORL has a strong focus on industry engagement (including support for commercial projects), with its facilities and expertise providing service to a range of marine industries at both a national and international level. CORL houses major nationally-significant research infrastructure at UWA that includes a large-scale (54 m) wave flume, a unique O-Tube facility, a number of additional experimental hydraulics facilities (e.g., current flumes, sloshing tanks, etc.), and support for specialised ocean field observations.

Both positions are initially offered as 3-year positions (with availability for extension) and are open to international applicants.
