Dear colleagues:

It is a pleasure to announce that the Griffith University Coastal Resilience Short Courses will go ahead in 2021 as planned, in person. This year’s Courses include an option to attend online, for those unable to travel to the course from overseas or other parts of Australia.

This is the Ninth Edition of the Courses, which have been attended, over the years, by more than 300 professionals  from the private and public sectors and postgraduate and undergraduate students from all Australian states, and other parts of the world, such as the Pacific, South East Asia, the Middle East and South America.

Brought to you by the newly formed Coastal and Marine Research Centre, the course covers coastal resilience management theory and practices relevant to Australia and other parts of the world, including coastal processes and modelling, planning and engineering in coastal areas, ecosystems conservation and management, socio-economic issues, policies and governance, stakeholder engagement and project design.

From 2021, this course will be eligible for a Griffith Credentials Digital Badge, which visually represent your achievements and allow you to easily manage, verify and share them online (e.g. Linkedin). Digital badges provide employers concrete evidence of what you had to do to earn them and what you’re now capable of.
