The International Conference on Coastal Engineering (ICCE) is held every two years to provide researchers and practitioners in our field a venue for state-of-the-art reporting of findings and discussions.
The next two ICCE’s will be held in Rome (2024) and Galveston, Texas (2026). The Coastal Engineering Research Council is now calling for proposals to host the 40th International Conference on Coastal Engineering, to be held in 2028. The proposal should be sent electronically (pdf format) to Prof. Dan Cox (dan...@oregonstate.edu) with “ICCE 2028 Proposal [etc.]” in the subject line by April 30, 2024. Included in the proposal should be information about the sponsoring society in the host country, the venue, the nature of the conference, technical tours, and proposed dates. A fuller description of the procedures for hosting a conference are given in the Policies and Procedures document compiled by CERC, available at
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lBf-ZX80834jR0ZcJHhsPmnuJXk7MItK8NK7kzs2xNs/edit?usp=sharing,
which includes the key phrase: "The LOC has the entire responsibility, including financial, for registration, technical venue facilities, social events, pre- and post-conference tours, and preparation, printing and mailing the bulletins and preparation and printing the final program. The LOC is responsible for the details of all conference arrangements."
A decision on venue will be made in 2024 by the Coastal Engineering Research Council and will likely be disclosed during the ICCE in Rome.
Please put the 38th ICCE in Rome (https://icce2024.com/) on your calendar! Abstract submission deadline is October 29, 2023.
