Responsibilities and challenges
DHI is seeking a motivated and dedicated marine and coastal project manager with a strong background in coastal engineering and/or coastal sciences, to execute marine, ports, estuarine and coastal projects within the United States, Canada the Americas and globally. The main responsibilities and challenges in the job are:
- Provide coastal engineering leadership and management for Americas and international marine and coastal projects with a team of DHI coastal engineers, numerical modellers and scientists. The geographic focus of this position is the US or Canada.
- Manage complex and technically challenging projects that are multidisciplinary in nature.
- Preparation of technical documentation, reports and presentation materials.
- Provide mentorship and technical training to junior staff.
- Act as a technical reviewer and support DHI product development, research and innovation.
- Conduct business development within the USA and the Americas to assist with the growth of DHI in the region.
- Preparation of technical proposals for existing and/or new DHI clients and accounts.
- Liaise with DHI clients to foster existing and new relationships for the DHI marine and coastal business unit in the USA and the Americas.
- Attend and present at conferences and workshops.
