A PhD student scholarship is available at the Transdisciplinary Science and Engineering Program, Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, Hiroshima University, under the Hiroshima University Research Fellowship and the Hiroshima University Next-Generation Fellowship starting from April 2023 or October 2023.

The successful candidate will engage in:

- machine-learning forecast for storm surges and waves 

- coastal flooding risk assessment and management

The candidates are expected to have a Master's degree in a relevant field and to be highly motivated, responsible and goal-oriented.
