Dear colleagues,

This is a friendly reminder that this is the final week to submit abstracts for ECSA 61 (Estuarine and Coastal Sciences Association Conference).

We would like to invite contributions to Session 41: Hydrodynamics and Morphodynamics of Storm Surge.

This special session will explore the interplay between the hydrodynamics of storm surge and the resulting morphodynamic response in estuarine and open coast environments, and their implications for ecosystems, communities and infrastructure. We invite contributions that use field observations, data analysis, numerical modelling, and remote sensing to address processes and impacts. The session aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue to improve predictive models and inform sustainable coastal management strategies in an era of sea-level rise and changing storm climatology.

We look forward to receiving your contributions and to a stimulating interdisciplinary discussion.

Best regards,

Melisa Menendez – University of Cantabria, Spain
Maitane Olabarrieta – University of Florida, USA
