Final call for abstracts (deadline 31 August 2025) to the 6th symposium on two-phase modeling for sediment dynamics in geophysical flows (THESIS-2025)
October 13-15, 2025 | Leuven, Belgium
We still have some limited space in our programme to invite (1 page) abstracts for presentation (or poster).
We invite dedicated studies of fundamental understanding of sediment transport dynamics and other multiphase phenomena and their geophysical applications through theoretical/numerical modeling based on two-phase flow theory and related laboratory/field observations.
THESIS symposia were successfully held in Chatou (France, 2011 & 2013), Tokyo (Japan, 2016), Newark (USA, 2019) and Les Houches (France, 2022), to provide a forum for discussing and exchanging knowledge and experience in the international research community, with the goal of developing two-phase approaches to sediment dynamics in geophysical flows.
The aim is not only to present progress, but also to openly share the problems we face and have open discussion sessions on several topics on how to proceed and help each other.
Further information is found on the symposium website https://bwk.kuleuven.be/hydr/thesis2025.html/
