The Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQAR) is part of the Université du Québec network, the largest university network in Canada, with over 100,000 students.
Coastal erosion and flooding pose significant challenges in Quebec, the largest province of Canada. UQAR and the Ministère des Transports (MTQ, Government of Quebec) have joined forces to establish a research center in coastal engineering dedicated to the design, construction, and maintenance of coastal infrastructure. This program is the only one of its kind initiated by the Government of Quebec. Our research group collaborates with the Laboratory of Dynamics and Integrated Management of Coastal Zone, one of the leading research laboratories in Canada. We are currently seeking a motivated candidate to join our dynamic group, focusing on developing promising adaptation solutions to preserve coastal communities in Quebec, Canada. This position will be provided with a scholarship of $20,000 per year. The working language is English (proficiency in French is an asset). Experience in numerical simulation background is an asset.
Start date: April or September 2024.
