LATWAVES 2026 || Extension of the Abstract Submission Deadline

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the abstract submission deadline for LATWAVES 2026 has been extended until mid-August.

If you are conducting research on ocean waves and related fields, we warmly invite you to submit your work and join us at the 6th Latin American Symposium on Ocean Waves (LATWAVES 2026), which will take place in Valparaíso, Chile, from October 26 to 28, 2026.

The research themes are: 

• Fluid mechanics of water waves
• Dynamics of ocean waves
• Air-sea interactions
• Wave-coupled effects in the upper ocean
• Waves in ocean engineering
• Near-shore processes
• Observations and remote sensing
• Numerical modelling, spectral and phase-resolving
• Wave climate
