Dear colleagues,
At the LHSV (Saint-Venant Hydraulics
Laboratory), we are currently looking for candidates for a funded 3 year
PhD project, "Wave interaction with offshore wind turbine foundations
in the coastal zone - effects of wave non-linearity, wave breaking and
complex flow structure", using a combination of numerical and
experimental methods.
Note that there
are some particular requirements for this funding, including "Not having
resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc) in
France for more than 12 months during the past 36 months immediately
before the deadline of the MISCEA Programme's call."

The main thesis supervisors would be myself (ENPC & LHSV) and Michel Benoit (EDF R&D & LHSV), with other researchers from the lab involved in the project, notably Marissa Yates, Christophe Peyrard, and Sebastien Boyaval.
The deadline for consideration is 30 April 2024.
