Australasian Young Coastal Conference
Hi there,
Registrations are now open for AusYCSEC 2026!
The conference will be held over 12th August – 14th August 2026, with in-person hubs confirmed for:
• Newcastle (central hub)
• Melbourne
• Brisbane
• Adelaide
• Perth
• Auckland
• Fiji
As always, the conference will also be free to attend virtually.
The registration form, registration costs and further information are available at the link below:
Registrations are open until Friday June 26th
for in-person attendance at the central hub (Newcastle) or any of the local
hubs (Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Auckland, Fiji). For online
attendance, registration is free and will be open until August 6th.
We encourage those at all levels of their career to register for the
opportunity to network with like-minded individuals and see the exciting work
being done by the next generation in our coastal community.
We’re excited to announce that this year’s conference merchandise is now available for purchase. A wide range of items is on offer, all featuring the limited-edition 2026 design by the talented Melinda Holmes, showcasing some of Newcastle’s iconic coastal features.

Please note: Merchandise is available for collection only at central or local hubs. We’re unable to post items to individual addresses this year.
To order merchandise, you must be registered to attend in person at a central or local hub via the registration form. The limited 2026 design will only be available if you pre-order online and will not be sold at the hubs.
If you’re unable to attend in person but know someone who is, you may wish to ask them to collect your merchandise on your behalf.
Finally, a reminder that abstract submissions are open for one more week, with a final deadline of Friday 24th April. If you are a student, early career researcher or young professional, we would love to hear about your work!
