Dear Colleagues,
The final meeting of IGCP #725 - From Cores to Code, Forecasting Coastal Change will be held during October 17–23, 2026 in SE Queensland and NE New South Wales, Australia.
Project #725 connects coastal geologists and numerical modellers with the goal to advance our understanding of and capability to forecast (and hindcast) coastal change.
You can learn more about the project and past events here - https://www.sfu.ca/igcp-725.html
Please be advised that the abstract submission deadline is
Monday 15th June. You can submit your abstract directly by email -

Our final meeting will again be half conference sessions
and half field tour, with an exciting field itinerary that will explore stunning coastal settings of eastern Australia that showcase features and processes that
provide clues about the dynamics of long-term and event-scale coastal
change.
This follows a successful first meeting in Brazil (2023) and second meeting in the Philippines (2024) that brought
together researchers from all hemispheres to share ideas and
understanding of coastal processes underlying both long-term and
event-scale coastal change.
The UNESCO International Geoscience Programme (IGCP) facilitates international cooperation in the geosciences by bringing together researchers from around the world with an emphasis on the benefit to society, capacity-building, and the advancement and sharing of knowledge between scientists, particularly North-South and South-South cooperation. Limited travel and registration support to attend the meeting is available for Early Career and Developing Country Researchers through project funding from IGCP and INQUA.
