🚨 Postdoctoral Position Available – Biophysical Modeling in the English Channel–Atlantic Region 🌊🔬
We are recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher (12-month position, Sep 2025–Aug 2026) at LOG – Laboratoire d'Océanologie et de Géosciences (Wimereux, France) to join the interdisciplinary GreyCo project, funded by OFB.
🧬 Project
Title:
Biophysical modeling of pelagic phase
dispersion in benthic species: enhancing simulation sensitivity to biological
parameters.
🌍 Context:
Benthic species depend on their pelagic larval stage for dispersal and
connectivity between distant populations. With the expansion of offshore
infrastructures (e.g., wind farms), understanding how artificial structures
influence connectivity is more relevant than ever.
Using the Lagrangian individual-based model Ichthyop (driven by CROCO simulations), this project explores how physical and biological parameters influence larval transport and settlement in the Bay of Biscay and English Channel.
