Research Position at the University of Parma, Italy

A call for a research position is now opened at the University of Parma closing at midnight of 21st may. The link for application (only online) is:

The researcher will undertake an existing project to experimentally study the interaction between currents and water waves, with opportunities to develop activities in new directions. The main work will be in the framework of MARCUS project, which involves several academic institutions throughout Italy. A PhD in Physical Oceanography, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline, is preferred, but not mandatory. Talented candidates with MSc will also be considered. Experience with laboratory and/or field experimental methods is highly desirable, as well as strong quantitative, writing, and communication skills.

The experiments will be performed in collaboration between the University of Parma (Italy), the Polytechnic University of Bari (Italy) and the University of Granada (Spain).

The contract will last one year (renewable only upon availability of new funding). The net salary will be ~2018 €/month.
