Good Morning Everyone,

 

ERSG USA are currently recruiting for two (x2) Installation Analysts to work on the Vineyard Wind and Park City Wind offshore wind farm projects, located off the coast(s) of Massachusetts and Connecticut.

 

We are working closely with Avangrid Renewables to recruit two Installation Anaylsts for the project, working as part of the civil and ocean engineering teams to deliver the country's first major offshore wind project - powering hundreds of thousands of homes with renewable energy!

We are looking for applicants with a solid background and experience on Metocean Analysis and (preferably) offshore installation works, competent to specify, evaluate and supervise installation works, as well as to integrate a strategy for multiple activities and interfaces (WTG foundations, substation, subsea cables, WTG erection, etc.) while ensuring quality, best practices and excellent safety performances.

Scope & Responsibilities:

  • Support Installation Engineering for the projects for specific transport and installation (T&I) works: Foundations T&I, Offshore Substation T&I, Subsea Cables, WTG’s installation.
  • Produce weather downtime estimates for all offshore installation activities, using business tools.
  • Participation in the production of the project’s Installation Strategy. Including Evaluation of the compliance of the tenders and contracts within the Installation Strategy, focused on programme compliance in regard to weather downtime.
  • Support to project construction phases with routine updates to milestone completion projections taking into account actual activity durations and assessing float on components to be installed.
  • Provide technical support regarding Metocean analysis to the project
  • Implementation of offshore standards, procedures, tools, best practices and quality requirements.
  • Support to the Installation Management Team to produce specifications, processes, procedures, guidelines, libraries, training, etc.
  • Participation in the knowledge transfer processes of Lessons Learnt.
  • Support the assessment of the projects’ site conditions and characteristics for the identification of available and suitable installation means and methods.
  • Programme and budget estimates for offshore installation works.
  • Support technical evaluation of the bids for the different installations.
  • Update installation strategies during construction phases.
  • Identification, evaluation and estimation of projects’ risks.
  • Comparison of installation and logistics concepts (e.g. different types of vessels, number of vessels, marshalling ports, installation equipment).
  • Provide input for installation sequence definition and optimisation.
  • Internal reporting.
  • General project management activities.
  • Support to the Installation Management Team and Business as required.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Ideally a minimum of 4 years’ experience in offshore and/or maritime works (negotiable within reason).
  • Degree in relevant engineering discipline, preferably Civil Engineering or Naval Architecture.
  • PE Preferred or advanced degree with relevant content of Metocean conditions.
  • Proficient user of Matlab and/or Python
  • Demonstrated experience in working with a large team or similar
