The first is focused on underwater acoustic data processing, the second will work with our offshore wind energy research team. Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Program Coordinator I for the Department of Marine and Coastal Sciences. The position includes data analysis, visualization,
and interpretation of acoustic-based data collected using autonomous ocean observing platforms for several ongoing and upcoming projects led by RUCOOL faculty. This position entails utilizing specialized software techniques to determine zooplankton and/or
fish targets, abundance, and biomass from echosounder data. This position also includes the task of laboratory-based zooplankton sample analysis to integrate into the acoustic analytical approaches.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
· Responsible for management of the acoustic-related data, developing data products and writing supplementary text for a wide range of uses, presenting the data to different target audiences, and training graduate students on acoustic data analysis techniques and/or data interpretation.
· Perform professional work that requires general knowledge of oceanography and specialized knowledge of acoustic data analysis, data visualization and data interpretation.
· Have a solid understanding of the use and application of concepts, theories, principles, practices, terminology, and applications of acoustic data analysis.

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Specialist for The Rutgers University Center for Ocean Observing Leadership (RUCOOL) at the Department of Marine & Coastal Science. This position will join the offshore wind research team and
will be responsible for maintaining the real-time version of the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model run daily by RUCOOL, known as RUWRF. Based at DMCS in New Brunswick, this position will operate the model, including model post-processing, visualization,
validation, and updating. They will also perform additional research-related model runs using WRF and/or other atmosphere/ocean models as needed to meet project goals and team objectives. This position will oversee operations of the Rutgers Coastal Met-ocean
Monitoring Station, located adjacent to the Rutgers University Marine Field Station in Tuckerton, NJ, which includes a meteorological tower, sodar, and lidar system. Additionally, this position will work with RUCOOL faculty to further research in offshore
wind, including supporting peer-reviewed papers and presenting at conferences and to stakeholders, including funding agencies such as the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities.
