Dear all,

Please be informed that the deadline for submitting articles to the Special Issue (SI) of the journal "Water Waves":

A tribute to Lili Kimmoun - Breaking Waves and Wave-Structure Interaction: Integrating Theory, Laboratory Experiments and Field Studies

has been extended to March 31, 2026.

See details in my original message on the Coastal List dated August 14, 2025, and the call for papers of this SI:

https://link.springer.com/journal/42286/updates/27796006

This SI aims to celebrate Lili Kimmoun’s significant achievements in the field of ocean and coastal waves, with a focus on wave breaking and wave-structure interaction.

Following her work, we invite contributions presenting original research related to wave breaking, rogue waves, breathers, large waves generated by subaerial mass failures, extreme waves in coastal waters, spatio-temporal metrology, marine hydrodynamics, wave-structure interactions, floating bodies, wave sloshing, wave slamming, wave runup, wave impact and wind effects on large waves.

Theory, modeling, experimental and field studies in coastal and ocean environments are welcome.

Best regards,

Michel Benoit, on behalf of the team of Guest Editors of this Special Issue
