Dear all,

I am looking for a PhD student at Boston University starting in Spring 2024.

The goal of the project is to quantify biogeochemical fluxes in Plum Island Sound, Massachusetts USA, using the numerical models Delft3D, D-Water Quality, and datasets collected in the field. The project focuses on sediment, carbon, and nitrogen fluxes in the estuary and bordering salt marshes. Remote sensing data of sediment concentration and CDOM will be also assimilated in the modelling framework.

This project is in collaboration with the Plum Island Ecosystems Long-Term Ecological Research (PIE-LTER) and the Marine Biological Laboratory.
