Conduct numerical simulations of ocean circulation, temperature/salinity distribution, and sediment transport using ocean models such as FVCOM, ROMS, Delft3D, etc.
Design model grids, configure parameters, and plan scenario-based numerical experiments
Validate and analyze model results using observational data (e.g., ADCP, CTD, SSC)
Assess changes in the physical marine environment before and after the installation of coastal structures (e.g., tidal power plants, breakwaters)
Ph.D. degree (or expected to obtain a Ph.D.) in a relevant field
(Oceanography, Ocean Engineering, Environmental Science, Hydrology, or related disciplines)
Experience in numerical modeling based on fluid dynamics or ocean dynamics
Eligibility to participate in national R&D projects and compliance with research ethics
For male applicants, completion of or exemption from mandatory military service (if applicable)
Hands-on experience with ocean numerical models (FVCOM, ROMS, Delft3D, etc.)
Experience in processing and validating ocean observational data (ADCP, CTD, OBS, etc.)
Proficiency in post-processing and visualization using MATLAB, Python, or similar tools
Experience in sediment transport modeling or scenario analysis of coastal structure impacts
First-author publications in SCI(E) journals or peer-reviewed environmental/marine science journals
