Good afternoon!
We cordially invite you to
join the Women in HPC @ SDSC’s first professional talk - with our inaugural
presenter, Nancy Wilkins-Diehr!
For 26 years, Nancy Wilkins-Diehr led programs at the San Diego Supercomputer
Center, focusing on computing and services to enhance support for a wide range
of scientific disciplines utilizing high-performance computing and science
gateways. Nancy served as the principal investigator of the Science Gateways
Community Institute (SGCI) and held leadership positions for various projects
such as XSEDE’s Extended Collaborative Support Services (ECSS), and the
National Partnership for Advanced Computational Infrastructure (NPACI). Nancy
Wilkins-Diehr holds a BA in mathematics and philosophy from Boston College and
an MS in aerospace engineering from San Diego State University. As a now
retired SDSC member, she enjoys hiking outdoors, running challenging accents in
our surrounding mountains, and biking around San Diego. Join us as we hear from
Nancy on her perspective on women-identified professionals, faculty, and
students in the academic computing workforce, and listen to her experiences
from a fruitful career.
Please share with any interested colleagues, students, or communities around the UC San Diego campus. This event is open to women-identified professionals, faculty, students, and allies!
All the best,
Claire + Subha
