Labor Center friends -

You may have heard that UCSD has laid off workers across the campus.

What many of us don’t know is that many of these workers tried to offer reduced hours in lieu of layoffs, but UCSD management refused to meet with them or their union representatives or provide information they requested.

We share the Teamsters invitation to join their rally and stand up for 63 laid off Teamsters workers in the library, in the transportation department, and at UCSD Health. Support accountability, fair working conditions, and worker voice in where and how budget cuts happen.

When? October 22, noon

Where? Meet at Library Walk and Gilman Drive to march towards Geisel Library
