Dr. Tom Alter (Labor History) from Texas State University
Sang Hea Kil (Justice Studies) from San Jose State University

Two tenured faculty terminated for political speech and student advocacy in Texas and California discuss right-wing attacks and their ongoing campaigns for reinstatement. They’ll share what their cases reveal about shifting pressures on educators and researchers. Their presentations will be followed with conversations with students, faculty, and union members on solidarity and organizing strategies. 

Light refreshments will be served.
