Seeking Volunteers for our August 19th Non Violent Direct Action Training

Hello, my name is Malik Gabby, and I’m calling from the UC San Diego Labor Center.

We’re excited to share that the UCSD Labor Center and SDIC Labor Council will be hosting a Nonviolent Direct Action Training tomorrow, August 19th, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the San Diego Convention Center. 

The Labor Center is seeking volunteers for those interested in helping to host the August 19th action. This training will build on our previous event held by the LA Fed, and thus, the volunteer structure will be similar, as we need volunteer check-in staff, ushers, floaters, and runners.

Volunteers will be asked to arrive at the San Diego Convention Center, located at 111 Harbor Dr, San Diego, CA 92101, at 4 pm tomorrow, August 19th. 

You can park at the convention center, bayfront, or take public transportation.
