Hey Gary,

Would you ever consider making a Browndye2 binary for Ubuntu 18.04? That is the OS that all the computers in our lab currently use, and unfortunately, the Browndye2 binary for Ubuntu 20 doesn't work with that version of the OS.

I know it's possible to build from source, but people don't usually have sudo permissions to use apt-get, so it's always a huge pain to get Browndye2 installed on the lab machines...

Hi Lane,

You can grab the latest Browndye2 binary for Ubuntu 18:04 here:

https://morgan.ucsd.edu/downloads/browndye2-ubuntu-18.04-2022-02-11.tar.gz

I'll add Ubuntu 18.04 binaries to the Browndye2 download page and it will
be automatically created for each new Browndye2 version.

Best,

Robert

Thanks for the suggestion Gerald, and thank you Robert for the link, that seemed to work well.
