Dear UC San Diego Graduate Student Researcher,
I hope this message finds you well. My name is Daniel Movahed, and I am one of the Research Programs Coordinators at the Undergraduate Research Hub (URH). On behalf of URH, we would like thank you for all you do to support the university community.
I am reaching out to inform your department about the upcoming 2025 Summer Research Programs Professional Development Seminars, which is scheduled for July 9th and July 31st. As part of these seminars, we are seeking graduate student panelists who can
share their experiences, ranging from the graduate school application process to conducting research.
The seminar on July 9th will focus on a broad range of fields, and we are specifically seeking graduate students, or those conducting research, in the arts, social sciences, humanities, engineering, life sciences, and physical sciences. The seminar
on July 31st will have a more focused scope, concentrating on engineering, life sciences, and physical sciences, and we are looking for graduate students, or those conducting research, in these areas.
We are seeking 3-4 panelists from each relevant field for the corresponding dates. If any graduate students are interested in participating, we would greatly appreciate your recommendations. Your involvement will provide valuable perspectives for your
peers and contribute to the success of these seminars.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out (
dmov...@ucsd.edu) if you have any questions or need additional information.
Thank you once again for your continued support, and we look forward to hearing from you. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Best,
Daniel
