The Writing Hub is excited to share two new programs designed to support graduate students with their writing this Spring. Flyers for both programs are attached for your convenience.
1. Dissertation Writing Circles – Spring 2025
Our SP25 Dissertation Writing Circles are weekly, hybrid-format writing sessions that offer dedicated time and community support for dissertation/thesis progress. Held every
Tuesday from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM (Weeks 6–11), these circles create a focused and encouraging environment with:
Participants can join in person at the Teaching + Learning Commons or virtually via Zoom. We encourage consistent attendance to help students make meaningful progress on their writing projects.
*Registration closes at 4 PM on Monday, May 5 – students can sign up via the RSVP form linked in the flyer.
2. Peer Feedback Retreat: Giving and Getting Better Feedback
This new, interactive 3-day retreat focuses on developing effective peer writing relationships and learning how to give and receive high-quality feedback. Participants will:

Practice giving constructive, actionable feedback

Learn strategies for incorporating peer and advisor feedback into their writing

Bring a current writing project to work on and workshop throughout the retreat
This retreat is ideal for graduate students seeking to improve their feedback practices in collaborative and mentoring contexts.
