Ben Smarr (HDSI) and I are hosting our third convening between data scientists and biologists, creating a platform where experts from both fields can come together to address shared challenges, and
identify collaboration opportunities for research and grants.
The primary goal is to catalyze innovative solutions to complex biological problems that are increasingly data-driven, from genomics and ecology to systems biology and beyond.
In this third workshop of our four-part series, we will focus on updates on your partnerships and collaborations
and ouputs since our first two meetings. We will also continue to invite new folks
to discuss biological challenges that might provide emerging and novel data science and computational challenges.
Tell us about what you have been up to, and the problems that excite you.
Our third meeting will be on the morning of December 2nd (8:30 am to 12:30 pm) in the HDSI Multipurpose Room 123 (first floor). Lunch will be served!
Space is limited, so please RSVP with this form. We will work to ensure that a balance of fields is represented and look forward to confirming your space via email by Nov. 26, 2025
Please note that in attending this convening, you agree that your project information will be shared, in summary form, with other UC San Diego participants to facilitate collaborations.
Sincerely,
James
