Microbiome Editing will be held in January 2026. Below you'll find more details about the conference, including opportunities to present short talks or posters.
Inaugural Microbiome Editing Gordon Research Conference
January 11-16, 2026
Pomona, CA
The conference will be co-chaired by
Jennifer Doudna (UC Berkeley) and
David Bikard (Pasteur Institute), with
KC Huang (Stanford) and
Michelle O’Malley (UCSB) serving as co–vice chairs. You can view the full program on the

Sue Lynch (UCSF) on Monday.
Short Talks & Poster Sessions
Alongside the invited speakers, up to 22 attendees will be selected to present short talks during the conference. If you’d like to be considered, please complete
this form. Abstracts (for short talks, posters, or both) can be uploaded directly with your application via the
conference website. NOTE: Abstracts submitted after 10/31/2025 may not be considered for a Short Talk.
Registration Information

Single room: $1,810

Shared room: $1,575
This fee includes five nights of lodging, three meals per day (Sunday dinner through Friday breakfast), and registration costs. While we are still actively fundraising and GRC offers some scholarship opportunities, we unfortunately cannot provide additional
financial support at this time.
