I'm excited to share that a brand-new Gordon Research Conference on Microbiome Editing will be held in January 2026. Below you'll find more details about the conference, including opportunities to present short talks or posters.

Inaugural Microbiome Editing Gordon Research Conference
January 11-16, 2026
Pomona, CA

The conference will be co-chaired by Jennifer Doudna (UC Berkeley) and David Bikard (Pasteur Institute), with KC Huang (Stanford) and Michelle O’Malley (UCSB) serving as co–vice chairs. You can view the full program on the conference website.*

*Not listed on the website, but equally exciting: a Power Hour will be hosted by Sue Lynch (UCSF) on Monday.

Short Talks & Poster Sessions
Alongside the invited speakers, up to 22 attendees will be selected to present short talks during the conference. If you’d like to be considered, please complete this form.  Abstracts (for short talks, posters, or both) can be uploaded directly with your application via the conference website. NOTE: Abstracts submitted after 10/31/2025 may not be considered for a Short Talk.

Registration Information
  • Single room: $1,810
  • Shared room: $1,575
This fee includes five nights of lodging, three meals per day (Sunday dinner through Friday breakfast), and registration costs. While we are still actively fundraising and GRC offers some scholarship opportunities, we unfortunately cannot provide additional financial support at this time.

If you have questions or would like more details, feel free to reach out to Rachel K Evans.
