The
Arts Division Student Assistant will work directly with the Arts Dean’s office in divisional efforts towards student success and office support. Supervised by the Arts Assistant Dean for Student Success/ Chief of Staff (ADSS/COS), the Student Assistant will support divisional initiatives focused on equal access to educational opportunities, retention of students, and professionalization and mentorship opportunities in the Arts. They will help organize and support Arts Professional Pathways (APP) events, including the annual Find Your Path! Event, the Dean’s Speaker Series, and other Arts Division events.
Job duties include:Administrative and office support for the Assistant Dean for Student Success/ Chief of Staff including information gathering, drafting various documents including brief reports/summaries and communications, producing spreadsheets, and general office support and maintenance. (60%)
Event support, including coordinating and communicating with organizers and guests; scheduling spaces and preparing event materials, supporting outreach for events, social media communications. (40%)
A highly organized person with excellent written and oral communication skills.
One position will be hired 8-10 hours per week.
