7 DAYS LEFT TO SEND YOUR PLAY! 

I'm writing to share this call for new student plays to be considered for the Dharma Grace Creative Writing Award for playwrights.  The Dharma Grace Award is granted to one undergraduate student dramatist with a full length script. The goal of this award is to provide resources & opportunity for student playwrights to have their work fully realized on the page and on stage. Last year our award winner was Chris Hernandez, an Environmental Studies and Theater Arts double major, who wrote a wonderful play, THEM COWBOYS.

The 2026 selected play will be paired with a professional director, dramaturg, student actors and other artists as needed to develop the play for full production on the Second Stage in Spring 2026 of PPDs Theatrical Season. Finalists for this award will be invited to have a staged reading of their play in PPD’s bi-annual New Play Festival.  

Deadline is next Monday, February 9th!
